In recent years gaming a taken on a life of its own. an billion dollar industry which has overthrown even movies. While this may be good for the
corporations which are profitting off the industry, The end consumer is often ousited. Let us look at the so called "Next Generation of Gaming". A common
flaw plagues most of these consoles. That is
bad gameplay. Ironicly Gameplay is taking a back seat to Graphical devlopement. As games devlope ferther and ferther into the next generation, We slip into
medocity. Let us take a look back shall we?

in 1983 when the arcade industry first
crashed due to oversaturation, many people that gaming was long since
dead. However it wasnt until a small japanese company by the name of
nintendo revived the market with the now historical icon that is
Mario.

Clearly we have come along way in terms of Graphics, yet we have taken a step back in gameplay. The orginal Mario Brothers are some of the best games ever made.
The orginal NES (or famicon for anyone in japan) has some of the most fun games ever made. Let alone the fact that unlike today, there were many low buget titles and hidden gems. But mainly the NES's claim to fame is its massive ammounts of good games.
